It still hurts us

Yes, the president has ultimate declassification authority. But it is a responsibility that should not be abused. Disclosing the name of a CIA officer to the press is just as damaging to our HUMINT collection capabilities as what Aldrich Ames did to our HUMINT collection capabilities during the Cold War. How is the disclosure of Valerie Plame Wilson's name any different than Robert Hanssen's revealing the identities of Sources we had recruited in the Soviet Union? Because of Ames's and Hanssen's actions, Sergey Motorin and Valeriy Martynov were executed.

How many people died because the President thought it would be o.k. to leak Valerie Wilson's name to members of the press in order to retaliate against Joe Wilson whose only crime was to point out the President was lying?

DON'T THE WINGNUTS BUCKING UNDERSTAND THIS??? IT IS NOT A BUCKING GAME, SOLDIERS AND INTELLIGENCE AGENTS ARE NOT DISPOSABLE PAWNS ON A CHESSBOARD

And the Republicans have the nerve to say anyone who criticizes the President is a traitor. Yet we have a traitor in the White House who is just as evil as Aldrich Ames and Robert Hanssen. Could someone please explain to me how the Republicans are good for national security? Because for some reason I just don't get it.
