File this under d'uh

Pro-lifers want to reduce abortions by making them illegal right? Yes they do. of course it would never occur to them to reduce abortions by reducing unwanted pregnancies. Yet, I guess some people don't want their hard-earned tax dollars going to underwrite the recreational sex of poor women. So, instead of spending $30/month for a pack of birth control pills, the taxpayers get to spend a $1000/month to support a child born in poverty and continuing the cycle of welfare dependence. Oh, wait a minute, we don't want to support that poor child, so we make the mom get a minimum wage job without benefits. And who watches the kid while mom is a work at MickeyD's? Someone who plops the kid in front of a TV, so the kid doesn't get the stimulation he needs in order to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. So the school system needs to hire someone to handle the remedial education for the kid so it can catch up with his peers. Then unable to catch up with its peers in school, the kid drops out of school and gets a McJob because it isn't qualified for any other job. Now the kid needs food stamps to supplement its meager income. So how much does that add up to? More than $30 a month.
